The Government of Maldives has announced that it will extend relief assistance to Sri Lanka through a financial contribution of USD 50,000 and a donation of 25,000 cases of tuna cans.
This support is intended as humanitarian and relief aid from the Maldivian people to the Sri Lankan population affected by the widespread devastation caused by Cyclone Ditwah.
Officials in Maldives described the gesture as a demonstration of solidarity with Sri Lanka, expressing hope that the donation will assist the Sri Lankan Government in providing relief to affected communities.
